This is why we have added citizenship initiatives to our array of activities, and we have chosen to focus them essentially on young people, particularly the most vulnerable. These initiatives are borne by the Fondation TotalEnergies and contribute to the community engagement of our Company, whose employees can devote up to three days of their working time per year to citizenship initiatives. On an international level, the TotalEnergies Foundation promotes the same values.
Youth unemployment and insecurity have worrying, even dramatic, consequences worldwide in economic and human terms.
Since there is no sustainable development that would leave young people by the wayside, the corporate Fondation TotalEnergies acts to give them the keys to taking their fate into their own hands, targeting the most vulnerable amongst them, by promoting equal opportunities and contributing to their autonomy.
The Fondation was created in 1992 and now takes action alongside its partners in four priority areas, in compliance with its history, its disciplines and its values: Youth inclusion and Education; Road Safety; Climate, Coastal Areas and Oceans; Cultural Dialogue and Heritage. Its actions, deployed in the host territories of our Company, essentially in France, or as part of the global public interest program of the TotalEnergies Foundation, thereby contribute to the Company’s community engagement.

The Michelin Corporate Foundation was created in January 2014 under the sign of “Helping people move forward”. It follows Michelin’s traditional societal commitment by echoing the values of respect and solidarity borne by the Group since its creation. To do so, it supports projects that are innovative, engaged in the life of the “City”, coherent with the Group’s activities and close to its collaborators and sites.
The Foundation’s vocation is to act as a complement to the Group’s subsidiaries’ sponsorships, especially by relaying their involvement in local life. This patronage is already very present in many countries where Michelin develops activities.
The Michelin Corporate Foundation aims to bear general interest projects in the long term in every country where the Group is implanted.
The Foundation supports projects in five fields:

- Sport and health
- Education and the community
- Protecting the environment
- Heritage and the arts
